The prima of the native pop came on stage with a special chamber music to delight her fans with specially prepared arrangements for the “Love at the Opera” concert on the eve of Valentine’s Day.
Already during the dress rehearsal, Lili Ivanova was irresistible. Enraptured by the lyrics and beauty of the songs, the singer did not even feel the presence of the audience, but after the first applause she received from the assembled journalists, Lily bowed and thanked with a smile. He then proceeded to dispense with even greater enthusiasm.
After the half-hour performance by the Serbian guitarist Zoran Janic, who was a warm-up musician, Lili Ivanova presented some of her latest songs. At the beginning of the concert, the performances were played, touching with their tenderness and lyricism. In songs such as “Shepot”, “I want you”, “This world is a woman” and “Incredible”, the arrangements with a predominant sound of trumpet, violin and piano, gave additional beauty to the strong voice of Lili Ivanova, which filled the Opera hall.
In the second half, fast-paced rhythms and electric guitars took over. The audience enjoyed the song “Play, play, cricket”, which was recreated in the singer’s favorite rock style. The music of the song “Camino” also sounded different. It was also specially adapted for the Opera House and sounded in a performance with a predominant presence of the violin, which replaced the classical guitar of the original version.
The first concert of the unique Lili Ivanova at the National Opera was also a fundraiser, with part of the funds going to the construction of an art installation in Tsarevo. Tickets sold out weeks before the event, and due to the high level of interest, organizers said they were considering a second date for the event.
