In search of redemption in front of its public, OGC Nice bit the dust against Montpellier (1-2). The Riviera defense collapsed on two set pieces: Jean-Clair Todibo scored against his side from a corner (0-1, 10e) and Téji Savanier transformed the consecutive penalty at the hand of Gaëtan Laborde (1-2, 42e). Jérémie Boga had meanwhile equalized with a header (1-1, 12e). Despite a total of 19 shots, the Gym was unable to come back into the game in the second period. Mohamed Ali-Cho asked for a penalty, in vain (90th), and Benjamin Lecomte opposed Evann Guessand in added time (90th + 3). Result: a sixth day without winning for Nice, which risks falling out of the top 5, and a precious victory for the MHSC, which leaves its play-off place and temporarily settles in twelfth place.
