Striker Liverpool, Mohamed Salah, received the 2021 Golden Foot award. The man from Egypt admitted that this achievement could not be separated from his experience in football Italian League.
Salah minimally get the opportunity to play in the Premier League when costumed Chelsea. He had to leave for the Italian League at the beginning of 2 February 2015 to join Fiorentina on loan.
After half a season playing for La Viola with nine goals in 26 games, Salah moved to AS Roma at the start of the 2015/2016 season on loan.
His first season with the Giallorossi resulted in 15 goals from 42 matches. AS Roma then bought Salah permanently from Chelsea and was able to score 19 goals in 41 matches throughout the 2016/2017 season.
Salah then returned to the Premier League in the 2017/2018 season to join Liverpool. His first season was very fertile by packing 44 goals from 52 matches and holding the status of the Premier League’s top scorer.
Salah is currently in his fifth season with Liverpool. From the moment he arrived until now, he has tasted the Champions League, Premier League, European Super Cup and Club World Cup.
Well, Salah recently received the 2021 Golden Foot award. In his statement after receiving this award, Salah said that the experience of playing in the Italian League Serie A was his valuable capital.
“Coming to play in Serie A helped me a lot. I have good memories both in Rome and in Florence, where I got a lot of affection,” Salah told Sky Sport Italia.
“When I was at Chelsea, I had to change the type of football and the culture, and I felt the need to change my way of playing. So I went to Italy and played well: that period helped a lot to get to where I am now.”
“I want to say hello to the Roma and Fiorentina fans. I spent fantastic times there, where I always felt the love of many people. I can only thank them.”
“I have good memories from the years that have helped me grow both as a person and as a player. Maybe we will meet again,” Salah confirmed.
