In three concerts in July and August, the orchestra will honor three fundamental musical traditions of the Kurzeme Capital of Culture – the 100th anniversary of the Liepaja Opera with a concert at the end of the opera conducted by Atvar Lakstīgala. Kuzma concert program, and more than half a century of rocking tradition with the legendary group “Thunder”.
The tradition of open-air symphony concerts in Liepaja dates back to 1891. Summer concert life has also been very popular in the 20th century.
The festival “Liepājas vasara” starts a new life cycle.
