The ProB champions 2021/22, the Dresden Titans and runner-up ART Giants Düsseldorf have secured the sporting right of promotion to the ProA by reaching the final in the ProB and will also exercise this right. The Artland Dragons, who are equipped with wildcards, and the WWU Baskets Münster also start in the ProA.
