The start of the match went better for the home team and Jelínek got into a good position, but Godla covered his shot and the finish. On the other hand, Jarůšek then tested Kváč’s readiness. The White Tigers played the first power play in the match, but the guests got the best chance. But Irving failed in a separate escape against Kváč. The Liberec team then had another numerical advantage, but Verva was close to the leading goal again. This time, the upper bar even helped Kváč against Kudrna’s shot.

In the 16th minute, the Litvínov team also got the opportunity to overpower, and thanks to Hrbas, they quickly turned it into a leading goal. In addition, at the end of the first part, in another numerical advantage, Hübl tapped Estephan’s shot behind Kváč’s back and Verva went to the locker room with a two-goal lead.

Klapka had a reduction on the hockey stick at the beginning of the second act, Godla hid his shot in a trap. After that, the guests played a power play, but they practically did not endanger Kváč. In the middle of the match, however, he missed the attacking blue Gríger and the guests punished a quick counter. After a beautiful interplay with Irving, he returned Litvín’s two-goal lead to Jích’s open goal. But the White Tigers had a quick response. Filippi nicely tossed the guest’s back and with a beautiful pass encouraged Birner to score, 2: 3. The home team were still more active and could equalize in the power play, but Godl resisted Jelch’s shot and Jelínek’s hits.

The third period started in places with an overwhelming onslaught of the home Liberec, but Godla kept his team in the game. The guests focused only on fast breaks and Hübl appeared in one of them, but Kváča managed to deal with his shot. Then the people of Liberec got the floor again and Rosandič had a tie on the hockey stick, but his shot into the half-exposed goal was blocked by the Litvínov defense.

Five minutes before the end of the third part, the home team had a long advantage of five to three, but Litvínov defended well. Rosandič’s foul deprived the White Tigers of the final pressure and Litvínov had already defended his victory.
