Lianne La Havas got advice from Prince when making her second album. Her third album, released on Friday, is “the album he always told me to make.”
“You hear that I do my best to show who I am,” says 30-year-old La Havas The Parool.
La Havas met the musician, who died in 2016, in 2013. “When I made my second album, I always sent my songs to him for his judgment,” says the British singer.
“He always wrote back encouraging comments. He did nothing but encourage me to do what I believed in.”
