Therefore, not only enthusiasts will be pleased that Lexus has installed its five-liter V8, which works in the LC 500 or RC F, for example, in another car – the IS model, the smallest sedan in its offer.

The new IS 500 F Sport Performance variant offers 479 horsepower and 536 Nm, which is enough to accelerate to the “American hundred” of 60 mph (97 km / h) in 4.5 seconds. Lexus estimates that the combined fuel consumption will be 9 l / 100 km. The power of the engine is of course transmitted to the rear wheels.

The car is not just a big engine in a small sedan, there are more changes. The standard is the Dynamic Handling package, which includes adaptive suspension and a self-locking Torsen rear differential. The torsional rigidity of the body was also improved and the car got bigger brakes under the front and rear wheels.

The car is set to go on sale this fall, but as the release of information exclusively on the US Lexus website suggests, it can only be reserved for the local market.

And why isn’t this car a full-fledged “effect”, such as the RC F coupe, which is sold with the same engine in Europe? According to Lexus Enthusiast, which refers to the carmaker, the “F Sport Performance” version is an intermediate stage between the F Sport equipment available on other models and the F.
