Lewis Hamilton officially breaks with manager

Lewis Hamilton has officially said goodbye to his manager Marc Hynes. He was the Formula 1 driver’s right-hand man for five years, but it’s time for a new challenge for the 43-year-old Englishman. The two broke up as friends.

Hynes was Hamilton’s manager for years, but that has now changed, just before the start of the new season. The 43-year-old would have decided that it was a good time, but that he would like to pursue other interests at the moment. It leaves a gap for Hamilton, as Hynes helped him with many different things. For example, the driver was helped in running Project 44 and Hynes was responsible for both the logistics and business side of the career of the Mercedes-runner.

The two Britons broke up as friends and the friendship therefore continues. “Marc is one of my best friends and he remains one of my best friends. He’s going to do other great things,” explains Hamilton. “We’ve worked great together and I’m sincerely grateful and proud of everything that I think we’ve accomplished together. I’m now doing some minor restructuring and ultimately there are plans that we are working on for the future. Maybe there will be some short term someone will come, but I still have to figure out exactly how I’m going to fill it in. ”

The timing is remarkable, as the season will officially start in exactly one week. There is therefore a very good chance that the Briton will start the new season without a manager. Fortunately, he still has his team and physiotherapist and good friend Angela Cullen.
