Leontine is comfortable in her own skin, but that has sometimes been different, she says. “I come from somewhere where it wasn’t so cozy, where it was really difficult and dark.” The break with Marco, the father of her children, has hurt her a lot. “When you’ve been together for so long and both have your own role and place in that marriage, it’s very difficult to rediscover yourself afterwards.”
Leontine has had a very difficult time, especially last winter. “A lot came to me then. The divorce, the loss of my family, that was very difficult. I then tend to hide myself.” She would prefer to solve everything on her own. “I know it’s not good, but I find it hard to show myself when I’m not doing well.”
Something that has dragged Leontine through the difficult period is her unwavering faith in Marco. The family is convinced of his innocence. “We are all behind Marco. I just find it difficult to talk about Marco, because he does not do that at all. However, there will come a time when he will.”
Her priorities now lie elsewhere: “I especially hope that peace will return to our family. That Marco and I can become grandparents of our grandchildren in the future, and that my children can develop themselves, despite the situation surrounding their father. plays.”
