Indonesian men’s doubles Leo Rolly Carnando/Daniel Marthin won Indonesia Masters 2023 after beating China’s representative in the final.
Leo/Daniel successfully defeated the Chinese pair, He Jing Ting/Zhou Hao Dong with a score of 21-17, 21-16 in the final match for the men’s doubles Indonesia Masters 2023 at Istora Gelora Bung Karno, Senayan, Sunday (29/1) evening.
Since the beginning of the first game, Leo/Daniel immediately showed an attacking game. Leo/Daniel managed to lead two points ahead of the Chinese pair at the start of the first game.
Leo/Daniel were finally able to lead 11-6 in the first game interval. Leo and Daniel’s slick collaboration has made them consistently maintain excellence.
Even though the Chinese pair had chased 14-16, Leo/Daniel managed to close the first game with a 21-17 win.
In the second game, Leo/Daniel fell behind at the start of the game, but they were able to turn around to win 6-4 over the Chinese doubles.
But the Chinese pair were again able to reverse the position to 8-6 and closed the first game interval with an 11-8 advantage.
However, Leo/Daniel were able to even the score 11-11 and managed to turn around winning 12-11. A draw score had colored the Indonesia vs China duel with a score of 12-12, 13-13. But Leo/Daniel managed to stay away 15-13, 16-13, 17-13, 18-13.
In the end, Leo/Daniel managed to win the second game with a score of 21-16 and ensured that they won the 2023 Indonesia Masters in the men’s doubles event.
