Lena Dunham’s Netflix Comedy Series ‘Too Much’ Announces Star-Studded Cast
Lena Dunham, the creative force behind the hit HBO series “Girls,” is back with a new project that is sure to captivate audiences. Her upcoming Netflix comedy series, titled “Too Much,” has just announced its star-studded cast, and it’s an impressive lineup of talent. Variety has exclusively learned the details of the cast, which includes some familiar faces and promising newcomers.
Joining the previously announced series leads Megan Stalter and Will Sharpe are a host of acclaimed actors. Richard E. Grant, known for his roles in “Saltburn” and “Can You Ever Forgive Me?,” will bring his undeniable charm to the series. Stephen Fry, the beloved British comedian and actor, is set to add his signature wit to the show. Janicza Bravo, the talented director behind “Zola,” will also join the cast, bringing her unique perspective to the project.
Other notable additions to the cast include Michael Zegen from “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel,” Rhea Perlman from the iconic sitcom “Cheers,” and Rita Wilson, who starred in the classic romantic comedy “Sleepless in Seattle.” Leo Reich, Adele Exarchopoulos, Adwoa Aboah, Daisy Bevan, Dean-Charles Chapman, Kaori Momoi, and Prasanna Puwanarajah round out the impressive ensemble.

Despite the challenges their connection presents, Jessica and Felix can’t ignore the undeniable chemistry between them. As they navigate their complicated relationship, they are forced to confront the question: do Americans and Brits truly speak the same language?
Netflix has ordered 10 episodes of this half-hour comedy series, ensuring that viewers will have plenty of laughs and entertainment to look forward to. Dunham, who co-created the show with her husband Luis Felber, is also heavily involved in its production. She takes on multiple roles as the writer, executive producer, and director. Felber serves as an executive producer as well, and his band Attawalpa will provide original music for the series.
The production team behind “Too Much” is an impressive lineup of industry veterans. Tim Bevan, Eric Fellner, Michael P. Cohen, Surian Fletcher-Jones, and Bruce Eric Kaplan join Dunham and Felber as executive producers. Camilla Bray will serve as the producer for the series. The show is a collaboration between Universal International Studios’ Working Title Television and Dunham’s Good Thing Going banner.
