The German RB Leipzig, with goals from the Spanish Dani Olmo and the American Tyler Adams, beat Atlético de Madrid (2-1) this Thursday, August 13, which came to tie one with a penalty goal from the Portuguese Joao Félix.
With the victory, Leipzig reached the Champions League semi-finals for the first time in their history. Now he will face PSG in the quarterfinals.
After a goalless first half, Leipzig took the lead in the 51st minute thanks to a very long combination that ended in the center of Marcel Sabitzer of Austria and Dani Olmo’s header close to the post.
He responded for Atlético Joao Félix, who jumped onto the pitch in minute 58, scoring a penalty goal in minute 71 caused by himself after a foul by German Lucas Klostermann; but Adams scored the final 2-1 in 88 in a shot from outside the area that was poisoned after touching Montenegrin Stefan Savic.
