After Saturday’s storm, one of the main streets of Legionowo was flooded by water. Volunteer firefighters dealt with the removal of the effects of the downpour. As they say, someone stole one of the fire hoses during the operation.

The evening intervention took place at Sowińskiego Street. Two units of the Volunteer Fire Brigade in Legionowo were commissioned to pump the water out of it. As TVnwarszawa.pl reporter Artur Węgrzynowicz learned, when the firefighters packed the equipment into the truck after the end of the activities, they realized that an approximately 20-meter section of one of the fire hoses was missing.

The information about the suspicion of theft was confirmed by the belt officer of the Legion’s fire brigade, Łukasz Szulborski. – On Sunday, the president of the TSO will testify in this matter – he announced.

In turn, Justyna Stopińska from the Poviat Police Headquarters in Legionowo noted that the official notification in this will only be accepted. As she explained, after 10 a.m. a representative of the Legionowo Volunteer Fire Department appeared at the police station.

They came to help the residents
As we learned from volunteer firefighters, they still check whether there is a lack of other equipment apart from the hose. They also assure that after the end of the action on Sowińskiego Street, together with the police, they searched the area to check whether the missing section was not lost during the operations or was abandoned in the area by a thief.

They also do not hide their disappointment that they were robbed when they came to help the residents. The Hose was one of the few other episodes that firefighters have in their truck equipped in the event of floods and inundations.
