The Real Housewives of Dallas was short-lived compared to most Housewives franchises: it was canceled after five seasons. Bravo fans were surprised that the series had good ratings and viewers enjoyed the show.

But season 5 was plagued by accusations of racism among co-stars, and Bravo decided to pull the plug or put the show on hiatus.

LeeAnne Locken was an original housewife from Dallas, but left the series after season 4and her final season led to a dramatic reunion in which her co-stars accused her of racism against her fellow housewife, Kary Brittingham.

During a chaotic cast trip to Thailand, Housewives found LeeAnne’s repeated use of the word “Mexican” offensive in a pejorative way, and LeeAnne’s reign as queen of Dallas came to an end.

While LeeAnne said she was leaving to focus on her previous career in philanthropy, fans questioned whether or not the emotional season was too much for her.

LeeAnne now admits that she felt Bravo tricked her into being a villain and is talking about her time on the show that viewers loved.

RHOD: LeeAnne Locken Said Bravo Set Her Up To Fail Every Season

LeeAnne was a guest on Being real with the housewivesand spoke in depth about her time on RHOD and how she felt the production treated her.

“I was set up to fail every year and what the producers and Bravo never understood about me is that I truly live the life of a Phoenix, which means if I reach the end of my rope and see no hope, I will burn. land is my only policy left because I know I’m going to get up and that’s how I’ve always been,” LeeAnne said of her time on the show and after.

LeeAnne said she’s still surviving like she always does, saying, “So here I am, getting up and getting up again and being happy, and I’m not struggling.”

LeeAnne revealed that she felt like she was constantly being targeted by her co-stars and that the entire drama was started by her.

“Over the years, I started noticing that I wasn’t having a good time because the cast was so focused on ‘eliminating LeeAnne,’” she said in her interview.

LeeAnne also exposed that the producers asked her to lie or act out of line, and she repeatedly refused. She said that she was committed to being authentic and not fabricating dramas for good television. She claims that her fellow housewives were more interested in fake loyalty to put on a good show, but not genuine friendship.

“It’s funny because when the show was over, our cast would come up to me and say, ‘I just want you to know that the producers really wanted me to do that,'” LeeAnne said, saying her approach was not to lie to the audience. .

LeeAnne Locken Feels RHOD Would Still Be Up On The Air If She Was In The Cast

Even though RHOD went on hiatus a year after her departure, LeeAnne claims the show would still be “one hundred percent” on Bravo if she hadn’t left the cast.

“I mean, the highest rated episode of season four wasn’t the reunion. People shut down the meeting. The most watched episode of the fourth season was my wedding,” said LeeAnne about the last season of hers. “People want a love story. I just think in today’s times, wrestling and bullfighting is not what people want to see. People want to see a real victory ride and that’s what I tried to offer.”

She is still married to her husband, Rich, and would love return to reality tv if the right opportunity arose.

The Real Housewives of Dallas is currently on hiatus.
