LeBron James sets NBA All-Star record with 20 selections, names starting quintets for All-Star Game

LeBron James established this Thursday a new record of selections for the NBA All-Star with 20, unseating Kareem Abdul-Jabbar from the first position, after the American league announced his ownership in the All-Star Game on the next 18 February in Indianapolis.

LeBron James will captain the Western team along with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (Oklahoma City Thunder), Luka Doncic (Dallas Mavericks), Nikola Jokic (Denver Nuggets) y Kevin Durant (Phoenix Suns).

The NBA, which returned this year to the classic format for its all-star game, West against East, announced the starting quintets after the closing of the voting, which took into account the votes of the fans (50%), of the players of the NBA (25%) and a group of journalists selected by the league (25%).

The Eastern starting quintet will be made up of Giannis Antetokounmpo (Milwaukee Bucks), Joel Embiid (Philadelphia 76ers), Jayson Tatum (Boston Celtics), Tyrese Haliburton (Indiana Pacers) y Damian Lillard (Milwaukee Bucks).
