Lebanese security sources told Xinhua News Agency that an Israeli march pursued a gray Kia car that was driving on the outskirts of the town of Bint Jbeil in the central sector of southern Lebanon. When it reached the vicinity of Bint Jbeil Governmental Hospital, the march fired an air-to-surface missile toward it. It became damaged and a person inside was seriously injured, after which he was transported to a hospital in the border area.

The sources added that the injured person is a local Hezbollah official, refusing to disclose his identity and party responsibility.

An official medical source in the border region of southern Lebanon told Xinhua that the injured person was in a very critical condition and was immediately admitted to the operating room and was undergoing surgery.

Hezbollah has not yet issued any statement about the incident.
