Learn Before You Go: Guide to Safe Work in Europe Series Episode 6 – Spanish Labor Market

This year, the EURES job mobility advisers of the European employment services network of the State Employment Agency (NVA) in collaboration with colleagues from other European countries continue to create the series of programs on- line “Learn before you go. Guide to safe work in Europe’ to provide information about the European Union (EU) and European Economic Area (EEA) labor market, promoting awareness of safe work opportunities in Europe. The sixth episode of the cycle, dedicated to the Spanish labor market, will be shown on May 23 at 16.00 Latvian Time on the EURES Latvia Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/eureslatvia).

NVA EURES adviser Andris Segliņš will explain in a conversation with Spanish EURES adviser Rafael Pérez García what the working and living conditions are like in this country, what experts are needed for, how to create a CV and how to write a letter motivation, how employment contracts are decided and what documents are required when you start working in Spain. Followers of the broadcast will be able to ask questions in the comments section on the EURES Latvia Facbook page, as well as arrange a remote consultation.

On 1 May 2018, 20 years have passed since Latvia joined the European Union and the State Employment Agency became part of the EURES network, contributing to the promotion of the free movement of labor in the EU countries, the Switzerland, Iceland and Norway.Over 20 years, EURES Latvia provided more than 220,000 consultations on safe work in Europe, re-migration issues and support for attracting workers from European countries , Europe Day, we are also holding an online conference on EURES services on the Zoom video conferencing platform. Starting tomorrow, May 10, we will start chatting online on the European labor mobility portal. Every working Friday from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm, on the European labor mobility portal, interested parties will be able to ask questions and get answers from NVA EURES advisers about the position employment, working and living conditions, as well as taxes and social guarantees in Latvia and other European countries,” tells the Labor Market Department about NVA project manager – EURES coordinator Līga Baufale.

EURES is a network of European national employment services and their partners. The main task of EURES is to support workers and employers who want to take advantage of European labor mobility opportunities. The EURES network operates in 27 member states of the European Union (EU), as well as in Switzerland, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway. Latvia is represented by NVA in the EURES network.
