Hops.ID – Leaked images of alleged prototypes of the iPhone 16 have been circulating in cyberspace, although it seems that the latest iPhone series will only be officially released at the end of 2024.
According to the MacRumors site, the iPhone 16 will bring a new camera format that at first glance looks like the iPhone X.
Quoting the MacRumors site on Thursday, December 14 2023, it was stated that the iPhone 16 will likely carry a pill-shaped camera, resembling the iPhone X and arranged vertically like the iPhone 12.

Apart from that, the shape of the camera on the iPhone 16 will be made neater and less obtrusive, like on the iPhone 13 to iPhone 15 which is often said to be ‘boba’.
Apple is known to have used a rear camera layout with an “odd” design that seems to be at odds since the iPhone 13 series. However, after that, Apple continued to maintain this unique camera design until the iPhone 15 generation.
The iPhone 16 camera design pattern seems to be returning to its original form, like the iPhone X to iPhone 11 camera design.
It is suspected that by returning to the vertical camera layout, Apple will include the ‘Spatial Video’ feature in the next generation of the iPhone 16.

‘Spatial Video’ allows users to take videos with a three-dimensional concept by using an ultra wide camera.
The ‘Spatial Video’ feature itself was first introduced by Apple through their ‘wearable augmented reality’ product, Apple Vision Pro, in June 2023.
Meanwhile, not long after, Apple also launched the ‘Spatial Audio’ feature on their flagship line of cellphones, the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max in September 2023.
This means that the next generation iPhone will bring a number of features that are currently only available on the flagship iPhone series.
