Leaked Emails and Videoconferences Confirm Exchange of Information in Activision Blizzard Case by CMA and FTC

Now the house has fallen! A letterwhich was “leaked” by the UK business committee, confirmed that CMA chief Sarah Cardell and Lina Khan of the FTC, exchanged information in the case of Activision Blizzard.

According to the letter, which was written by Sarah Cardell herself, about 74 e-mails and 26 videoconferences were held from irregular shape, where various information about the acquisition of Activision Blizzard was shared. Although Lina Khan had already confirmed face-to-face meetings between the two, the e-mails and the calls had not been confirmed.

Earlier, another letter from Sarah Cardell had been leaked, where she criticized stories “biased” in newspapers that pointed out that the UK was “closed for business” after the blockade of the acquisition of Activision Blizzard. You can read more about this subject on our website by clicking here.

It is worth remembering that both bodies are “battling” to block the merger of Activision Blizzard with Xbox, with the CMA having already blocked the purchase at the end of April. The FTC, on the other hand, is still starting to fight in the courts, but this will be a very difficult task, since several countries, such as China and the European Union, have already approved the merger.
