“League of Legends: Alliance War Game (TFT)” unveiled its plans for 2021, including two new chess groups, a new mode, and an improved experience for players to watch the game.
Riot Games recently released the 2021 introduction video of “Alliance Chess”, predicting that a new chess set will be launched this spring. Riot revealed that there seems to be a theme related to “good and evil”, but did not disclose specific details. The group will be launched this fall.
Green Teej, product leader of “Alliance War Chess”, also introduced two new arenas, Xinchunxicheng and Club No. 2. The former is during the Lunar New Year event, where players will be immersed in a futuristic atmosphere. The latter is a brand new arena.

As for “Alliance War Chess”, it also plans to introduce an acceleration mode, so that players who are short of time can play this mode, and players can experience simpler and faster content in this mode. According to Riot, a game of “Alliance War Chess” currently lasts about 30 minutes, and this new mode is scheduled to cut the game time in half, but how to retain the core mechanism of “Alliance War Chess” and shorten the time will be disclosed in the future .
As for the “League of Fighting Chess”, which is also undergoing an e-sports event, Green Teej mentioned that in order to improve the audience’s experience of watching the game, the R&D team has begun to develop related game watching functions specifically for the audience.
