Tourism expert Othman Cherif Alami was recently elected new president of the Regional Tourism Council (CRT) of the Casablanca-Settat region, during the general assembly of this institution, replacing Mr. Omar Kabbaj.
His election was approved unanimously. The new president thus gains the confidence of the general assembly made up of three colleges: regional and local authorities, elected officials and tourism professionals.
Mr. Alami, quoted by the CRT press release, expressed his willingness to work in close consultation with the authorities, elected officials, and the various tourism stakeholders, while working to better coordinate the marketing of tourist products in the region. . On the occasion, he outlined the main lines of the 2020-2021 strategy, which he intends to lead to highlight the tourist interest of the Casablanca-Settat region, the CRT press release indicates.
“The inhabitants of this region and national and international visitors must take advantage of the region’s potential and assets. We must offer them products suitable for weekend getaways, but also for frequenting hotels, restaurants and other tourist spots, ”he says. And to add that “the various products of the culture should be highlighted and find an important place in the offer of the region”.
The new office plans for September the meeting of the executive office and the Board of Directors of CRT Casablanca-Settat, in order to move very quickly to actions to implement the promotion and marketing of this important destination as well as the opportunities for investment with the aim of creating jobs and an interactive added value, notes the press release. “A big and important project awaits the members. Everything must be reviewed to give back to the Casablanca-Settat region its letters of nobility in tourism”, according to the same source, noting that “the team led by its new president has largely the will and the skills to implement, to the great happiness of the inhabitants of the region, a relevant strategy “.
