The price of the Low Cost Green Car (LCGC) in Indonesia has been adjusted as of July 2022. This of course makes the price of LCGC cars crawl again. Some of them even cost almost Rp. 190 million.
The LCGC cars that were sold for almost IDR 190 million were the Honda Brio Satya CVT and Toyota Calya 1.2 GA/T. The Honda Brio Satya CVT was sold for Rp. 186.4 million, while the Toyota Calya 1.2 GA/T was sold for Rp. 181.1 million. The price tag is almost equal to the Low MPV segment which is a level above it.
It should be noted that the determination of the LCGC price cannot be arbitrary. Pricing is adjusted to Permenperin number 36 of 2021. Article 4 states that the maximum price for LCGC is now IDR 135 million. But the maximum price does not include local taxes, transfer fees, and motorized vehicle taxes. Manufacturers can also propose prices under certain conditions such as inflation, exchange rates, or an increase in the price of raw materials. The addition of technology can also be a factor in increasing the price of LCGC cars.

Then what features are offered on the two LCGC cars with a tag of almost Rp. 190 million?
For the highest variant of the Toyota Calya, it is equipped with 3-point seatbelts on all seats along with Dual SRS Airbags in the front and ISOFIX in the middle seat.
In addition, Calya has Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) brakes and Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), GOA Body (Global Outstanding Assessment) as protection on the car frame from collisions at the front, rear, and sides of the car, as well as Rear Parking Sensors. Then there is also a Parking Camera to increase rearward visibility when backing up.
On the Brio Satya CVT, Honda embeds Dual Front SRS Airbags, Side Impact Beams, Seatbelt Reminders for Drivers, Pretensioners with Load Limiter Seatvelts, Parking Sensors, and Light Fire Extinguishers (APAR).
Other features embedded in the most expensive LCGC car in Indonesia include Keyless Entry, Immobilizer, Auto Door Lock by Speed, and Alarm System. Not to forget the entertainment system in the form of 2DIN, USB Port, AM/FM Radio, CD Player, AUX-IN, Bluetooth, to Hands Free Telephone are also available.
