At the Dr. Angel Larralde University Hospital (HUAL) in Naguanagua, the lawyer Francisco Villafañe died this Tuesday, April 13 in the afternoon, who presented symptoms associated with COVID-19.
Villafañe was 33 years old, a criminal lawyer graduated from the Bicentennial University of Aragua and practiced karate since he was a child. He had reached Fifth Dan in that discipline.
The young lawyer was infected with the virus about 20 days ago, but his condition quickly worsened, for which he had to be hospitalized in the aforementioned health center.
The legal professional developed a serious lung infection that affected his liver and kidneys. Additionally, a thrombus rose to his lungs, which has caused great inflammation.
He received multiple treatments and oxygen 24 hours a day, but his family finances could no longer bear the high cost of medicines and supplies, so he was requesting financial help.
The National Front of Lawyers of Venezuela reported on the death of Villafañe, whom it considered a great human being. He expressed solidarity with his relatives, in these moments of great pain.
