Lawyer of the U: “If there is no transparency we will go to Conmebol and FIFA”

After the joint statement by Alianza Lima, Universitario de Deportes and Cienciano requesting explanations from the FPF regarding the long list of guests who went to the playoff in Qatar along with the Peruvian National Team, Adrian Gilabert, legal advisor to the Universitario de Deportes club, declared for Nacional Deportes La Cátedra and stated that if they are not transparent they will go to Conmebol and FIFA.

“We ask for transparency. We are the clubs that contribute the most to national football. We want them to tell us what the money was spent on. Let them explain to us why so many people were brought to such an important match and that resulted in the non-classification of the team”, warned Adrian Gilabert

He also expressed his annoyance at benefiting people who have nothing to do with national football and emphasized that they will go to the last resort.

“In 48 hours the FPF has to respond to us. Something strange is happening here, we want those responsible,” added Gilabert.

On the other hand, regarding the debt that the University Sports Club maintains with the GREMCO company, the legal advisor said that they are already in the final instance.

“In the coming months, the debt of the university sports club could be reduced by 50% because the majority creditor would be leaving, so it would not have to resort to the sale of assets”
