Jurassic World : Dominion, directed by Colin Trevorrow, will be released on June 9. Alongside Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, we will find the legendary trio of the first film: Laura Dern, Sam Neill and Jeff Goldblum in the respective roles of Dr. Ellie Sattler, Dr. Alan Grant and Dr. Ian Malcolm.
An event that allowed a moving reunion, but also to take stock of certain details of the scenario that would no longer pass today. And in particular, the 20 years of difference between Laura Dern and Sam Neill, as a couple on the screen.

“I’m 20 years older than Laura! Which, at the time, was a very appropriate age difference for a leading man and woman,” the 74-year-old actor commented in the columns of the Sunday Times.
“It never occurred to me until I opened a magazine and there was an article titled Old Geezers and Gals (“Old croutons and young girls”, can we roughly translate, editor’s note). People like Harrison Ford and Sean Connery were playing with much younger people. And there I was, on the list. I was like, ‘Come on. It can’t be true.'”
For Laura Dern, the reflection was done more gradually, she confides, in particular with a change of culture within Hollywood. Here she is now more aware of the absurd age gap that she once considered normal.
