Textile manufacturer “Lauma Fabrics” has registered a commercial pledge with the maximum amount of the claim secured by 58.8 million euros, according to the information available to “Firmas.lv”.
SIA “European Lingerie Group”, the holder of the company’s shares, is registered as a debtor, while the pledged property is SIA “Lauma Medical” shares and other property. The commercial pledgee is “Rietumu banka”.
The pledged property includes all stocks, all tangible fixed assets, all claims, vehicles, as well as other “Lauma Medical” property.
The commercial pledge was registered on Wednesday, June 9.
The holder of shares in Lauma Medical, registered in 2019, is Lauma Fabrics.
It has already been reported that Lauma Fabrics had a turnover of 32.228 million euros in 2019, which is 1% more than in 2018, while the company’s profit decreased by 9.4% to 3.132 million euros. The company’s financial data for 2020 have not yet been published.
Lauma Fabrics is part of the European Lingerie Group, which is headquartered in Latvia. According to Firmas.lv, the real beneficiaries of the European Lingerie Group on the basis of ownership are Indrek Rahum and John Anthony Bonfield.
The European Lingerie Group produces lace and textiles for the largest underwear manufacturers under the Lauma Fabrics brand, while the Lauma Medical brand produces medical textiles. The group also designs, manufactures and distributes lingerie under the Conturelle and Felina brands. It has production facilities in Latvia, Hungary and Germany.
European Lingerie Group was registered in 2017 and has a share capital of 39.97 million euros.
