Latvijas Sirdsdziesma Final 2021: Meet the 15 Artists Competing for Heart Song of the Year

On June 17, the audience’s favorite 15 artists will meet on stage – among them last year’s winner Aija Legzdiņa, Viktors Zemgals, the group “Klaidonis”, “Dobeles Zemessargi”, the group “Muiža”, Harijs Joniškans, Santa Kasparsone and other great artists, as well as expected gorgeous musical premieres.

The following will perform in the final and compete for the title of “Heart Song of the Year”:

• “White doves” (Viktors Zemgals),
• “Brūnacīte” (Dobele National Guard),
• “Street Musician” (Vagabond),
• “Prayer” (Peace in the Winds),
• “There is nothing yet” (Sandris Dubovs),
• “Pearls of Memory” (Golden Rivet),
• “Spring” (Artis Shimpermanis),
• “As long as the sun is there for us” (Harijs Joniškans & Santa Kasparsone),
• “Rose and wind” (Aija Legzdiņa),
• “Wind flowers” (Manor),
• “God’s name of honor” (Ieva Sutugova & Jānis Moisejs),
• “Song about a song” (Kaspars Gulbis),
• “About what is missing and does not pass” (Ainars Bumbieris),
• “Cornflowers” (Kristaps Pujāts & Edgars Pujāts),
• “Silver Foot” (Zeļli).

“I am pleased that this year, from the point of view of musical styles and performers, there is a very diverse list of finalists. In addition, the audience has chosen songs that are really close to the people and true to their hearts in the votes. The whole evening of June 17 will be in a real festive atmosphere – not only because Ligo is approaching, the Song and Dance Festival is approaching, but this year there are also several anniversaries for representatives of the heart song genre, – again a reason for additional celebrations,” says Arvīds Babris, director of the program “Latvijas Sirdsdziesma”.

The live broadcast of the final of the program “Latvijas Heartsdziesma” will be shown on June 17 at 21.05 LTV1, REplay.lv, listenable – Latvijas Radio 2.
