The producer of alcoholic beverages JSC “Latvijas balzams” has started to produce lemonade “Green Cola” without sugar in the Baltic market with a stevia added to the drink instead, LETA informed the company.
This was made possible by the resumption of the can filling line. Our Greek colleagues from Green Cola International have praised our work in restoring can filling to a new quality. After repeated visits of technologists, purchase of new equipment and adaptation of technological processes, we have reached an agreement to produce this drink for the market, which is recovering most rapidly after the Covid-19 pandemic – the Baltic region, ”said Intars Geidāns, Chairman of the Board of Latvijas balzama.
He added that “Latvijas balzams” is currently producing the original version of the drink “Green Cola”, but is considering expanding the range of “Green Cola” line in the future and start producing orange and cherry lemonades. Geidāns explained that the production of the respective lemonades for the Baltic market at the Latvijas balzama plant provides its distributors with a faster logistics chain, but for Latvijas balzama – larger production volumes and product diversity.
Representatives of “Latvijas balzama” also informed that soon the brand “Rīgas Melnais balzams”, “Cosmopolitan Dīva” and “Moskovskaya Vodka” drinks will be produced in new variations on the new can filling line.
In the autumn, we plan to start filling “Riga Black Balsam” cocktails. There is also an active process of developing new products to introduce the world-famous vodka brand Moskovskaya Vodka and the sparkling beverage Cosmopolitan Diva in cans with a lower alcohol content, ”Geidāns informed.
As reported, the turnover of Latvijas balzama last year reached 78.6 million euros, which is 4.6% more than in 2018, while the company’s profit last year reached 10.05 million euros, which is 7% more than in 2018. .
