“Garkalne” / “Livonia” won the square of Riga Technical College with the result 29:23 (21:11).

Six teams will start in the Latvian Rugby Championship 2021 – “Garkalne” / “Livonia”, “Ķekava” / “Miesnieki”, “Rāmavas Lāči”, “Valmiera Fēnikss”, “Eži” / “EK Sistēmas” and “Jūrmala” .

A total of 30 games will be played in the regular season.

The 2021 Latvian rugby championship will take place from June 17 to October 10. It is planned to play a two-round tournament in the main tournament by September 12. The winners of the first two places of the regular season will automatically qualify for the semi-final battles, but the clubs from the third to the sixth place will play in the quarter-finals for entering the semi-finals (3-6, 4-5).

After that, the semi-final matches will be played, in which the winner of the first place in the main tournament will fight against the winner of the 4th-5th place pair, but the team in the second place will fight against the winner of the 3rd-6th place match in the Latvian Championship semi-final. The losers of the first round of the playoffs will also split fifth and sixth. In all “play-off” games, the winner will be determined in one game.
