“Latvian music club “Depo” seeks new location after 20 years in Old Town”

After more than 20 years of operation in Old Town, at Valņu Street 32, the music club “Depo” is looking for new premises, according to a publication on the club’s “Facebook” profile. This information is also confirmed by “Delfi” owner Guntis Vanags, the owner of “Depot”, the situation with the premises in Old Riga is unclear, so the possibilities where the club could continue to operate, offering a varied music program of various genres, are being identified early on.
According to Vanags, the building on Valņu street 32, where the “Depo” club is located, belongs to the Free Trade Unions of Latvia (LBAS). “I will not be able to comment on all the reasons why this building is no longer needed by LBAS, but it is clear that this building has become unprofitable for it.
