Turkish media announced a new rise in diesel prices this week.
The reports indicated that the price of one liter of diesel increased by 1.01 pounds as of Tuesday, after it was deducted by 1.5 pounds several days ago.
With this increase, the price of a liter of diesel on the European side of Istanbul reached an average of 37.85 liras, while its price on the Anatolian side reached 37.79 liras.
With regard to the rest of the regions, the price of a liter in the capital, Ankara, reached 38.36 liras, in the city of Izmir to 38.52 liras, in Bursa to 38.40 liras, and in Adana to 38.79 liras. As for the cities of Antalya and Diyarbakir, the price of a liter reached 39.06 lira.
In the past two months, diesel prices have increased significantly by up to 95 percent.
The fluctuation of diesel prices affects operating costs and the lives of citizens and businesses alike.
This rise is expected to have a negative impact on the general economy and the daily lives of individuals.
