Antalya Metropolitan Mayor Muhittin Böcek was treated at a private hospital after the Covid-19 test was positive on August 17. Mayor Böcek was put to sleep in intensive care on 7 September, after his health deteriorated. After coronavirus treatment, the insect, which was put to sleep due to asthma and a rupture in the lungs, was sent to Akdeniz University Hospital at the request of Health Minister Fahrettin Koca.
