Last hour of phase 0 of the de-escalation in Catalonia

The coronavirus crisis is still active in Spain and every day more people are infected and people lose their lives due to the epidemic outbreak caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus.

437 people are still seriously admitted to Catalonia

Recall that the epidemic began on December 1, 2019 in the city of Wuhan (Central China) and has spread to such an extent that in Catalonia at least 10,965 people have died Covid-19, 134 in the last 24 hours. This was reported last night by Department of Health of the Catalan Government.

Of these 10,965 deceased with coronavirus3,228 lost their lives in a residence, 142 in a social health center, 599 in homes and the rest are people who died in hospitals. At least 60,007 people have been infected with Covid-19 in Catalonia.

Faced with such a crisis, the President of the Spanish Government, Pedro
Sanchez, presented last week the de-escalation plan in the fight against the coronavirus, which will have four phases before reaching a “new normal”.

It is a asymmetric de-escalation, that will depend on the evolution of the pandemic in each autonomous community and that will last for a minimum of six weeks and that can be extended to more than eight. The application unit will be the province or the island, so that each of them can advance at a different pace and go from one phase to another depending on how the established markers are met.
