Last appointments at the Muellheim vaccination center – Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald district

District Office takes stock.

(BZ). The district vaccination center in Müllheim finally closes its doors. The last vaccination options are on Thursday, September 30th, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The district office points this out in a message. Open appointments for second vaccinations were now made through resident medical practices.

District Administrator Dorothea Störr-Ritter is also quoted in the message: “My thanks go to all those involved who can be proud of the work they have done in Müllheim.” Corona vaccination is an important component in combating the pandemic. Through the vaccination centers and resident doctors, more than 165,000 people in the district received a full corona vaccination, which corresponds to a full immunization of 62.5 percent of the population. Almost 74,000 vaccinations were administered in the district vaccination center.

The fire and disaster control department got the district vaccination center up and running within a very short time, according to the announcement. The DRK district associations Müllheim and Freiburg were won over to the operation and 320 people were employed in the vaccination center through them. A total of 84,500 working hours were performed and 114,000 swabs, 104,000 cannulas and 100,000 syringes were used. In addition, a mobile vaccination team carried out vaccinations in 50 care facilities, 24 integration aid facilities, a dialysis center and eight rehabilitation clinics. There was a separate vaccination offer on “social vaccination days” for people in refugee accommodation. According to the district office, the population received 5,440 vaccinations on communal vaccination days in Titisee, Ehrenkirchen and Breisach. The vaccination teams would have traveled a total of around 17,000 kilometers for vaccination campaigns.
