It has been twelve months since the consumer electronics industry met for the most important technology trade fair of the year in Las Vegas (US state Nevada). The corona virus seemed far away, over 170,000 trade visitors and journalists marveled at the manufacturers’ innovations. But at the end of July 2020 it was clear: CES 2021 will not be able to take place in the glittering city of players as usual due to the corona pandemic. Instead, the trade fair organizer, the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), decided to hold the trade fair completely virtually.
