(CNN Español) — Lara Trump, daughter-in-law of former US President Donad Trump, sounds like a possible Senate candidate for the North Carolina seat. This was hinted by Republican Senator Lindsey Graham, a political ally of the former president, in an interview with the Fox network this Sunday.
“In North Carolina, I think the big winner with all this impeachment is Lara Trump,” said Graham when asked by presenter Chris Wallace about the future of the Republican Party and criticism of Trump by members of the community. as former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley.

“My dear friend Richard Burr, who I sympathize with and have been friends with for a long time, just made Lara Trump almost certainly the nominee for the North Carolina Senate seat, so that she will replace him if she runs.” Graham said.
