Journalist Lato Lapsa noted that on the website of the Latvian national airline «airBaltic» in several places in Russia, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia it is referred to as «pribaltika» instead of the Baltic states.
Commentators are ruthless towards ‘airBaltica’, stating: ‘khmmm, you should have known that such a designation is derogatory. And that the BALTIC STATES are right’. The record was noticed by the airline.
It says “Good evening! The use of this designation in airBaltic resources is incorrect. This is due to a poor-quality translation made several years ago. We will check our pages soon and remove it completely.
