JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV – The Public Prosecutor (JPU) criticized the use of the words ‘stupid’ and ‘silly’ used by Rizieq Shihab’s team of attorneys when reading the exception on Friday (26/3/2021).
For the prosecutor, the use of words such as ‘stupid’ and ‘silly’ is not part of an exception and is used by those who are not educated.
“Sentences like this are not part of the exception, except that language like this is commonly used by uneducated people, and is used by people who are categorized as superficial,” the prosecutor said during a trial at the East Jakarta District Court, as quoted by Kompas.com, Tuesday (30/3/2021).

Furthermore, the prosecutor emphasized that his party are educated people who have studied up to a bachelor’s degree.
In addition, the Prosecutors also insisted that they have decades of experience in the legal field.
“It is very naive if the public prosecutor who is hearing the case of the defendant and his friends is said to be stupid, ignorant, dull-brained, and does not understand,” said the JPU.
