The municipal president of Puebla, Eduardo Rivera Perez, made a call to motorcycle taxi drivers The resurrection to exhaust the dialogue before the possible suspension of that service.
This, after leaders of that motorized service, warned that they will continue to circulate in the area beyond what the authorities decide.
In this sense, the mayor stressed that whoever has the power to regulate and authorize motorcycle taxis in the municipality is the Ministry of Mobility and State Transportation.
“The municipality can not grant plates, licenses or routes, that is a state competition,” he clarified.
The PAN stated that until a regulatory law is issued, the municipality does not have the power to help accompany them in this process of operation if the state government decides to authorize it.
“I invite you to dialogue, so that we can jointly review this issue,” he commented.
Rivera Pérez clarified that, regardless of the permits, motorcycle taxis must respect everything that has to do with municipal traffic.
“Vehicles, units, motorcycles or scooters that may be circulating without license plates or without authorization, the city government does have the obligation to review or, where appropriate, violate,” he warned.
