VALENCIA. Lack of information and protocols for the reinforcement of Janssen vaccinated in the Valencian Community. This is pointed out by users and some unions on the first day in which, those vaccinated with a dose of the Johnson & Johnson subsidiary, could request a new immunization.
However, as always happens in Valencian public health, each health department has experienced an unequal situation. And it is that, some users – due to the failures of the telematic system – have gone to their health center to request an appointment, but have not received a response because they do not know from the departments how to proceed in the face of the situation as they have not yet received information and protocols.
However, other departments do claim to have lists since last week and have begun to vaccinate this Monday by order of Public Health, as happened in the Clinico-Malvarrosa or Castellón. Meanwhile, on Monday morning there were some computer incidents that made it impossible to request a telematic appointment early in the morning.
An issue that was resolved around 12:30 pm and that allowed the 210,000 people vaccinated with Janssen to request an appointment. Now, they can already make an appointment through the GVA + Salut APP or the Health website to receive the dose in health centers to optimize protection against the coronavirus. You can also request an appointment by calling the margin of going to the health center.
The booster dose will be administered at least three months after receiving the Janssen vaccine and in this case they will be administered messenger RNA (mRNA) vaccines (Pzifer or Moderna). In addition, it may be simultaneous with the administration of the flu vaccine, as long as the person meets the requirements to also receive the flu vaccine, according to the same sources.
