Lācis, a home composer, acquires property in Mežapark for over 500,000 euros.

The legendary domestic composer Kārlis Lācis bought a new property – a house in Mežapark, which cost the family 660,000 euros. Previously, the house belonged to ex-politician Jānis Jurkāns’ beloved woman Linda Apse, the lifestyle publication “Kas Jauns” reports.

The 2,116-square-meter new property of Kārlis Lāčas is located on Meža prospect in Mežapark. It is a two-story house – it was sold to the composer by Linda Apse, who in turn acquired it in 2006.

Before establishing a relationship with Jurkānas, Apse was the wife of dentist Pēteras Apse, both exchanged rings in 1999. A marriage contract was also concluded between the two, which provided that after the separation of all property, the house on Meža prospect remains in her possession. As recently as autumn of last year, a ban on handling this property without Pēteras Apse’s written consent was in force, reports “Kas Jauns”.

Apse tells the publication that she has finally divorced her husband. In the marriage with a much older man, two children were also brought up in the Mežaparka house. Linda Apse is pleased that the house came directly into the hands of the Läči family. “Bears are intelligent people who will know how to take care of this property,” said Linda. Apse herself lives in both Latvia and Spain with her beloved Jurkana.

In 2022, Kārlis Lācis sold the house he built 15 years ago in Spuņciem. The buyer appeared right during the pandemic. For the new property, Lācis took a loan from the bank in the amount of 434 thousand euros, however, he did not want to give detailed comments about the impressive transaction to the magazine.
