“We are tired of not receiving answers and for this reason we will remain here until we receive them” say the students of Cambiare Rotta. For two days the girls and boys of the collectives had been in tents in the university “against the genocide”.
“We ask that today’s Academic Senate – says Cambiare Rotta – take sides against the genocide in Palestine through: the application of sanctions against Israel: blocking any collaboration with the Technion of Haifa, the Israeli universities, and the Maeci ban; the break of any research and/or teaching agreement with the war industry (Leonardo Spa., Thales Alenia and others) and with the armed forces (with the Italian Army, with the Air Force, with the Navy – like the next Mare Aperto 2024 exercise – and with NATO); the resignation of the Rector from the scientific technical committee of the MedOr Foundation of Leonardo Spa”.
“If the Rector really wants to build bridges of peace, she should immediately cut ties with war”, underline the students as they make an appointment for the garrison at 3.30pm – when the academic senate will begin – on the lawn, inside the university city.
