UD Roteña was proclaimed this Sunday afternoon champion of the Andalusian Cup of the Royal Andalusian Football Federation in its provincial phase, by beating Trebujena CF on penalties. With this victory, the red team goes to the next phase that will be played by the eight provincial champions.
The finals have been played over two legs and have been very close (1-1 in the first leg and 1-1 in the second leg). In today’s game, it was necessary to go to penalties where Jairo, the UD Roteña goalkeeper, was key to the team’s title of champion.
The match began with the message of the campaign “Become a donor, give life”, championed by José Ignacio Ruiz-Herrera, who continues to raise awareness of the importance of donating organs, tissue or bone marrow to help save lives.
At the end of the match, the president of the Andalusian Football Federation, Pedro Curtido, was in charge of handing over the cup to the champions.
