The municipal employees of La Bostonnais who had left work on Monday because their salary could not be paid by the municipality, returned to work on Tuesday.
Problems with paychecks have arisen since June 20. During the last council meeting, Tuesday, the mayor of the municipality of La Bostonnais, Rachel Fluet, gave an overview of the situation in front of the elected officials and a dozen citizens present, including L’Écho.
Basically, the financial institution had noted that there were no funds in the municipality’s account, which the mayoress rejects, adding that the municipality has an imposing financial cushion. After a few weeks, the situation was resolved late Monday afternoon, when everyone finally received their pay.
The situation is slowly normalizing. At the regular meeting of the municipal council, the elected officials approved various changes to more easily transact the Accès-D account of the municipality.
