Kylie Minogue returns to her native Australia

Already last autumn, she confided in the ABC station that she lacked contact with her family due to the pandemic, so she decided to spend more time in her home country. “I spent a lot of time with my family in Australia this year and it was great. After all, I’ve been talking about returning for a long time, “she said in a current interview with the BBC.

Last week, she released a new single, A Second to Midnight, featuring British singer Olly Alexander from Years & Years. It is a pilot single from the extended edition of the singer’s last year’s album Disco, which is released under the name Disco: Guest List Edition.

Thanks to the aforementioned Disco album, Kylie Minogue became the first solo performer to record at the top of the UK charts in five different decades.

Her first album Kylie dominated the charts back in 1988. She also dominated the British album charts with his successor Enjoy Yourself (1989). In the 1990s, she conquered the single charts with the song Tears on My Pillow and the compilation Greatest Hits (1992).

In the first decade of the new millennium, she topped three singles (Spinning Around, Can’t Get You Out Of My Head and Slow) and climbed to the top of the album charts with Fever (2001) and Aphrodite (2010). In the last decade, she has succeeded with the fourteenth studio album Golden (2018) and the selection Step Back in Time: The Definitive Collection (2019).
