At the weekend, the stage was set for fashion week in Paris, and stars from all corners of the world appeared in their luxurious outfits.
Slaughtered: – I would be embarrassed
The reality star and the make-up mogul Kylie Jenner (25) really knows how to make an entrance, and made many people roll their eyes when she appeared ready to party in the fashion city.
Jenner appeared in a black dress with a large lion’s head stuck to the chest, writes People.
It was in connection with the fashion house Schiaparelli’s show that the mother of two appeared in the remarkable outfit.
On Monday, she paid tribute to the creators behind the special outfit.
– Just can’t do it anymore
“Wow, I loved wearing this handmade faux fur creation. Beautiful, beautiful,” the 25-year-old signed The Instagram post followed by lion emojis.
The lion head is artificial, and not from a real lion.
According to the designer, Daniel Rose Berry, the inspiration for the dress should be the poem “Dante’s Inferno”. In the poem, a three-headed beast is described, and Rose Berry is said to have used it in the work on the creation.
Butchered
The reactions have not been long in coming. Several have taken to the star’s comment section to say exactly what they think about the choice of dress.
Out loud: – He’s lying!
“But why? Why imitate it here. I’m thankful it’s artificial, but it’s still totally disturbing,” writes one user.
“Why are you wearing an animal’s head on your dress? Fake or not… It doesn’t make sense to me,” wrote another.
“Now more Americans will probably flock to Africa to get their hands on the latest in wildlife fashion. It promotes hunting. As a South African, it feels wrong in so many ways. The king of the jungle is not fashion,” writes a third person.
Not alone
Jenner wasn’t the only one wearing the lion head dress. It was to be seen on the catwalk itself as well.
Model Irina Shayk (37) wore an almost identical dress when she walked the catwalk during the fashion show.
The brother’s comment has the internet boiling
Supermodel Naomi Campbell (52) also went for a dress in the same genre. On the catwalk, she wore a black faux fur dress, with what looks like a wolf’s head on the shoulder.
Furthermore, People writes that it was probably no coincidence that the choice ended up on a lion’s head.
At the weekend, the mother of two finally revealed the new name of her son, who was initially named Wolf.
The little boy is now called Aire, which actually means “lion of God” in Hebrew. Which might suggest that’s why Jenner wanted to wear a lion on her chest.
But the name has a completely different meaning in Arabic. The misnomer has gone viral.
Several have claimed that Aire is Arabic slang for “my penis”something associate professor for Middle Eastern studies at the University of Oslo, Albrecht Hofheinz, confirmed to Dagbladet.
