It’s a video that has already been viewed nearly 800,000 times on X (formerly Twitter). In this sequence, filmed from the stands by a supporter, we see Kylian Mbappé there, in the center of the field, demanding that the cup be brought to him after PSG’s victory in the Champions Trophy. The trophy in question was with the captain, Marquinhos, who was waiting to be interviewed on Prime Video. Mbappé sent for the cup, before showing some annoyance when collecting it.

There are two types of reactions to this video. There is the camp of those who criticize Mbappé, believing that the Bondynois shows bad character. The Parisian striker would play “the little boss”, wanting to put himself forward at the expense of the captain of his team, Marquinhos.
And then there are those, more numerous, who defend Mbappé. After all, it may seem logical to want to celebrate this victory by sharing this Trophy with the public at the Parc des Princes. In the video, we see that Mbappé wanted to start the lap of honor for the PSG players. He held up the cup for a few seconds, before passing it to one of his teammates, in this case Gianluigi Donnarumma.
