The US Department of Defense believes that Kyiv is still in danger, despite the partial withdrawal of Russian troops.

“Kyiv is still in danger and airstrikes continue,” he said.
He added that “we haven’t seen much difference in the last 24 hours, there hasn’t been… a massive movement, at least for now.”

A Pentagon spokesman said the redeployment of Russian troops from Kyiv indicates that Russian military leaders understand that their attempt to take the capital has failed.
He also noted that the morale of Russian soldiers is low.
“We continue to see problems with unit cohesion, problems with command and control, and problems with competent leadership,” the US military spokesman said.
The Pentagon says it has heard anecdotes about poor performance on the battlefield and overwhelmed Russian soldiers, but “it’s all at the level of rumors and anecdotes, and it’s impossible to say with certainty whether it’s only in separate parts or these are more general trends.”

In addition, on Thursday, British intelligence said that from 1.2 thousand to 2 thousand Russian troops in Georgia will be reorganized into three battalion tactical groups and these groups will be transferred to Ukraine.
As UNIAN reported, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Russian occupation troops partially withdraw from the north of the Kiev region to Belarus.
The General Staff believes that after the combat capability of the withdrawn units is restored, they are expected to move to other areas.
