Kuwaiti woman sentenced to death for brutally beating maid

Kuwait City: A Kuwaiti criminal court has sentenced a local woman to death for brutally beating a maid to death. The court also sentenced her husband to four years in prison for concealing the crime.

A Filipino worker was brutally beaten by a Kuwaiti woman for a long time and locked in a room at home and denied treatment. The maid died at the end of the beating. Her body was taken to Sabah Hospital with bruises and cuts all over her body. The information was reported from the hospital to the operations room of the home ministry.

The criminal case was registered after it became clear that the death was unnatural on preliminary examination. The incident came to light after the sponsor who took the body to the hospital was taken into custody and questioned. He asserted that his wife had abused his maid and that he had taken her to Ashutosh when she was unconscious. He said he did not know the maid was dead.
